On Sunday, July 24th I went to see a late night showing of Captain America in 3D. We only really chose to see this movie because there wasn't anything else out that I wanted to see (we'd already seen Horrible Bosses - which is worth seeing). I only have a few real opinions about this movie.
Overall, I liked the story progression. I'm not a huge fan of superhero movies in general but I liked the history aspect to this one. I've always been interested in WWII so this movie appealed to me. Also, the post experiment sexy man chest/abs were an added plus.
I didn't like the main actor (Chris Evans) at first but he grew on me. I was excited to see Hugo Weaving at first, until he peeled off his face.
Overall, the movie was pretty good. Definitely worth downloading/redboxing. As for if it's worth seeing it in the theater, I'm not sure. The 3D was unimpressive and not worth the extra money. But if you really like superhero movies, this one is worth a watch.
