Can Google+ be Saved by 4chan?

I couldn't choose between these two for today's post and they're both appropriate to the subject anyway.

Google is attempting to shove Google+ down our throats again. This time by hiring the creator of one of the most horrible websites on the internet (if you don't count some of those niche porn sites I won't name here), Christopher Poole.

4chan was created in 2003 by a 15 year old Poole who I can only assume wanted to create a community of similar pubescent boys to talk about boobs with. 4chan exploded into a community of exactly that, plus bronies. Its only positive gift to the internet are its memes. Otherwise, it is a cesspool of the deepest and darkest kind.

And the creator of this cesspool is who Google thinks will make Google+ great again.

Poole announced on his Tumblr...

...wait, isn't Tumblr...

Well that's ironic.

Anyway, Poole announced the good news on his Tumblr and said he couldn't "wait to contribute".

So there you have it. "moot" is joining Google to try to make Google+ into Googlechan. But really, do we need another disgusting pit on the internet? Probably not.

Let me know if you agree in the comments below. What do you think of 4chan? Google+? Are we entering the new age of Googlechan?
